Dinner tonight march 29th 2o17

Steak, green beans and rice pilaf... so american... lol

What you need:
Box o rice pilaf
Can of green beans
2 steaks
Random italian dressing
Salt, pepper, garlic powder
Butter
(1 chicken finger for the 2 yo)

Generally speaking, i dont like to make dinners that take more than 30 mins... i figured i might as well teach yall how i do it... and mix it up a bit on the blog.

Here we go!!....

Boil water for the rice pilaf... 1/2 pan of water on high and turn oven on broil- high.
Im Asian so i feel like im not supposed to follow directions on how to make rice. Im just supposed to know how. So i dont measure. If you wanna follow the directions on the box.. no one will ever know.

Blog until i hear it boiling or whenever.......

Throw the contents of the box in the water with a tab of butter.

Gently place steaks on broil pan and salt, pepper, garlic powdered the upper side.
Put steaks in oven on broil for 6 mins. (I use the microwave oven timer)

Blog some more. Check my email... answer the random fb, text and messenger bitties.

Turn steaks over. Salt, pepper, garlic powder and back in for 5 minutes. While im in the kitchen i put the green beans in a bowl and squirt some italian salad dressing on them. Turn rice down to super simmer.

When the timer goes off. I take the steaks out of the oven, turn off the rice on the stove and microwave the green beans for a minute. While the green beans cook i find the husband and bug him to clear off the table and all random shit around it, while everything is resting. Plate and serve when you can finally see the table.

Its so important to have a meal together every day. I have read all sorts of studies on it and its all over some psych books. Do it! Just saying.

2 year old side note. He doesnt eat steak. So, i keep frozen chicken fingers in the fridge. I microwaved one of those for 35 seconds, chopped it up and served it with the rice and green beans. Its still sitting on the table.
