School?!?!?!....



School was amazing!....  there is so much to learn.  And i had so much school.  Thank God, i didnt have work work anymore.  Did i mention i started a non-profit last year.  Its called Babies for Us and we help lesbian couples have their own biological babies.  Like baby in my belly babies.  And my masters..... and a 2 year old.... and a husband.... and a dog... and 2 black cats... im going to start writing country music... lol

So... i was going to school mon and Wednesday day for real estate and going to school at night mon and tues for my masters.  And running my nonprofit.  Then theres vball.  Please, for the love of God, have an outlet.  Something you can just run around and do and not think and just have fun.  Everyone needs to be able to check out for an hour or 2 every day to keep their sanity.

Any way... its a lot to learn.  There is a 20something chapter book for the federal test and another book written by lawyers for the state.  The RI law book was written by lawyers and reads like lawyers wrote it.  Did i mention there is a test?  Yes!  A mother flower test that you have to take at a test center that only 50-70% of people pass.  

Lets do some math... because we havent even talked about how much this has all cost.....

$230 real estate school
 $30. Study app
 $20 practice test
$ 70 test.                          
$350 so far to become a realtor 

They say it costs you somewhere between $1500- $2000 to become a realtor. What?!?!?!

So, i had the best teacher in the world, Pam.  She was just amazing.  She told us exactly what to study in the fed book and gave us real life examples of things.  Pam really cares about he students.

I feel like i need to do some explaining about the things i purchased.  Dearborne, the people who wrote the book, have an app to help you study.  When you buy it, it says its free but after the first chapter it asks you to pay for it.  Totally worth it.  Theres audio that explains the chapters, flash cards, and practice tests.  

The $20 practice test is from Pearson Vue, the people who wrote the test.  Also worth it.  It give you a feel of what the screen looks like that you take the test on and how things are written.

this is me..... and this is my family.... So... I left my last life working for Macy's in June and realized it was time to get out there and start making money again.  Apparently you need money to have and do the things you want.  Lame!  I know.... I started applying for jobs in the nonprofit world, but apparently they want you to have some experience event tho i would be perfect at it.  AND I'm the nicest person in the world.  Then i remembered that i had had a conversation with my husband about what i wanted to do when i was done with school.  (Im finishing my masters in adult education...btw.  Although you would never know it by the way i spell and my sentence structure)  And asshole me said... keep going to school.  Real estate school.... so i figured, fuck it!  Why not do it now?

Dinner tonight march 29th 2o17

Steak, green beans and rice pilaf... so american... lol What you need: Box o rice pilaf Can of green beans 2 steaks Random italian dressing Salt, pepper, garlic powder Butter (1 chicken finger for the 2 yo) Generally speaking, i dont like to make dinners that take more than 30 mins... i figured i might as well teach yall how i do it... and mix it up a bit on the blog. Here we go!!.... Boil water for the rice pilaf... 1/2 pan of water on high and turn oven on broil- high. Im Asian so i feel like im not supposed to follow directions on how to make rice. Im just supposed to know how. So i dont measure. If you wanna follow the directions on the box.. no one will ever know. Blog until i hear it boiling or whenever....... Throw the contents of the box in the water with a tab of butter. Gently place steaks on broil pan and salt, pepper, garlic powdered the upper side. Put steaks in oven on broil for 6 mins. (I use the microwave oven timer) Blog some more...

1st things 1st....

So.... What do you do when you want a job? You see who's hiring. Which is exactly what i did. I looked on monster.com , jobungle, jobsri.com , yourmomsfavoritejob.com etc etc etc.... and found that Keller Williams in Cranston was hiring. Funny little side story.... a dude from Keller Williams sold me my house back in the day. Like 1oo years ago in 2005. And it was a SHIT SHOw... on both sides of the story. Seller and buyer. This is part of the reason i want to be a realtor. Because i had such a bad experience and it should have been really cool. Back to 2017... i met with Mindy. She is super awesome! She met with me, even tho i didnt have my license and let me know all the steps i needed to get my license. Step 1... Go to School..... Mindy suggested Rhode Island Association of Realtors (RIAR).
